At PPi we offer full in-house design services, creating drawings and renderings and flythroughs for your event from a small meeting to a large convention. So allow us to serve you from the origins of your project through to completion and wrap up.

Since our inception in 2004, we have created a huge array of production solutions for our clients across the country, always being mindful of event goals, logistical challenges and requirements, presenter and talent needs, and of course budget.

At productionpeople, inc. we are proud to offer technical service at all levels, including AV support for smaller meetings and breakouts.
We understand that at the smallest retreat or meeting, solid audio and visual presentations are just as important as in General Sessions and Main Tents. Our engineers and managers ensure that all meeting attendees enjoy a productive meeting experience and that presenters can concentrate on their presentation without worrying about the AV!
Using a selection of projection and audio solutions, we design the package for each room of your meeting whether it’s for 10 people or over 100 people.

Andrew McDonald - Managing Partner / Sales

Andrew’s career began as a musician in London, England. After graduating from The Royal Academy of Music with teaching, academic and performing degrees, he spent 10 years performing around the world with the finest orchestras and ensembles, including:-

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
The Royal Opera House Covent Garden
The Orchestra of the Bolshoi Ballet
The BBC Symphony Orchestra

In 1993 Andrew made a bold change and arrived in Atlanta with five suitcases and no job!

His first job was as an Entertainment Consultant with a small Entertainment Agency in Atlanta.

In 1995 he was then head-hunted to larger company, and over 9 years developed the production business at an Atlanta production house, becoming Vice-President of Sales

In 2004 Andrew made another bold move and left his position to start a new production company.

Andrew is now owner and Managing Partner of productionpeople, inc., a full service production company serving corporate clients in audio-visual, lighting and staging support.

Andrew’s clients include Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, and his reputation for creative and technically sound production solutions creates the opportunity for him to travel across the nation while building his business a solid, client driven business philosophy.

Adam Smith – Partner/ Operations Manager

Adam’s career began in the Mississippi Air National Guard. After initial active duty training, Adam specialized in electronics and advanced electronic troubleshooting, to become a Communication and Navigation Systems Maintenance Technician.

After his time in the Mississippi Air National Guard, Adam moved to Atlanta to pursue a career as a percussionist – something he and Andrew have in common – but he quickly found the world of production allowing him to utilize his considerable technical skills.

After a period as an independent contractor, then electrical foreman for a technical installation company, Adam was hired by a local full-service production company and became head of the Video department.

Adam brings to the partnership tremendous technical ability and a rapport with the client rarely found in technical side of the industry.

Adam is responsible for all technical, logistical and operational aspects of the company, as well as engineering on key, high profile pieces of business.

Geoff Clapp - Sales

Geoff Clapp earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications. After working in several fields in marketing, promotions, project management and entertainment booking, he moved from south Florida to join productionpeople, inc. in August 2005.

Geoff has built an outstanding reputation for customer service and delivery in Event Production Sales, handling most of the key strategic partnership accounts in the Atlanta market, and developing new direct clients in new markets and industries.

As one of the first hires at the then brand new PPi in 2005, Geoff’s commitment to the organization and his clients has remained strong through to the present, and that commitment shows through his successful and repeat client interactions.

Geoffrey Platt - Design Services

Since completing John Abbott College’s (Quebec, Canada) Professional Technical Theatre and Design program in 1998. Geoffrey has held progressively more responsible and technically challenging lighting, scenic and directorial positions. From June 1998 through February 2001he was with the Montreal Young Company, St. Georges School of Montreal and The Centaur Theatre.  Through varied assignments as theatre lighting designer , scenic designer and touring technical director with the Saidye Bronfman Center For The Arts (Montreal), John Abbott College, McGill University and Bishop’s University, Geoffrey developed his skills. Before moving to Atlanta in 2004, Geoffrey served as Senior Lighting Director and Scenic Designer with Partech Lighting Systems Inc.  Partech recognized his depth of talent through his highly successful noteworthy work with Club Med Resorts and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines from March 2001 through April 2003. 

Geoffrey has served clients throughout the US and Canada in his roles as Lighting Designer, Scenic Designer and Technical Director for several production / AV companies, and is now the Design Services division of productionpeople,inc in the Orlando office. He has been proud to design such high profile events as The Ex Awards, The NASCAR Busch Series Awards Banquet televised on TNT, and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Banquet, televised on Speed.

Claudia Brummel - Business Services

Claudia Brummel joined the PPI team in January 2008 as the company’s Business Services Manager. Her impressive background features many years experience as Director of Operations, Office Manager, Financial Director, and Human Resources Manager, in the corporate, academic and private sectors.


Claudia is experienced in all aspects of business management, compliances and requirements, analysis, creating design and implementation of new systems, and providing customer support while effectively communicating with outside vendors and clients.

Claudia has brought all her skills to PPi and is a huge asset to the organization, bringing the high service ethic and performance expectations to our Business Services department.

Jason Coleman - Warehouse Operations

Jason Coleman is a rare breed of Atlanta native! He entered the production business like others at PPi through the music industry, firstly as a guitarist and bassist, and more recently as a DJ and MC (well known on the Atlanta scene as “Race One”!).

Once in the production business, Jason worked as an audio, video and lighting technician based in the Atlanta market, but traveled as far away as Florida, Philadelphia, Dallas and Los Angeles.

Jason was one of the original employees at productionpeople, inc in the company’s infancy. He is now responsible for all aspects of warehouse management including creating pull sheets and ensuring the correct equipment arrives at, and is returned from, each show.

Jason is a vital and valued member of the PPi team, keeping the warehouse running smoothly.

History

Formed in 2004, productionpeople, inc.   is a unique and innovative working partnership bringing together “front of the house” and “back of the house”, with the principals bringing to the table their experience in client relationships and service, and technical excellence.


After a creative and lavish launch event in Atlanta, the PPi brand and service standard quickly gained traction. In addition to attracting local clients, including key preferred vendor relationships, the company’s ethic of “service through relationships” captured the imagination of clients, and the company was invited to travel across the southeast and produce significant events for our clients.


Through 2005 and 2006 the company continued a largely organic growth, through relationships, referrals and repeat business. The touring business continued to grow and the west coast got its first taste of PPi! At the same time the company grew in size with new and talented team members, and along with that, revenues grew year after year.


In 2007 the growth continued and the broadening of offerings included design services and renderings created in house.


By early 2008 PPi had grown to become a significant production house with a reach across the nation, and in late 2008 all design and creative services were moved to our Orlando location.


The challenges of late 2008 and 2009 throughout the business world have injected a renewed sense of opportunity for the team. Happily revenues continue to grow, and with a new marketing strategy, new website and a solid late 2009 and 2010 ahead, PPi is poised for continued, even accelerated growth thanks to the high service standards we have maintained since the inception of the company.
